From cave paintings to the cinema screens of today, humanity has always used sequential images to tell stories. This tradition continues as artists from around the world gather at the International Animation Festival of Curitiba, Animatiba. Animatiba showcases works from animation creators around the globe, celebrating the art and achievements of those dedicated to bringing their stories to life.
The centerpiece of this sequence is a timeline of animation history—an intriguing look at how human creativity has evolved over the past 100 years, driven by technological advancements in devices that explore the persistence of vision.
The process of arranging images in sequence to create movement is simply magical. Inspired by this enchantment, we explored new ways to represent these techniques, and we had a blast doing it! Mixing animation styles is our jam, and this project was a perfect fit to experiment new things.
